HELIX staff are active participants in the Southern California Chapter of the Society for Ecological Restoration being held in San Diego from May 10 – 12.  The President of the HELIX Construction Group, Justin Fischbeck,  is presenting a talk on restoration project implementation from the contractor’s perspective.  HELIX biologists Larry Sward and Sally Trnka are leading a field tour in south San Diego County where HELIX has designed and overseen the successful restoration of two large riparian sites along Salt Creek. They will provide insight into the challenges of designing and implementing riparian restoration within an urbanizing watershed.
