HELIX Environmental Planning (HELIX) conducted an acoustical study for the Robert T. Matsui Courthouse in the City of Sacramento to determine compliance with original project noise control specifications and privacy requirements and determine potential building upgrades that could be implemented to improve the as-built conditions. HELIX acoustical specialists conducted a variety of noise control tests, compiled data, and analyzed the values to determine if the current building design provides adequate privacy and separation of the 12 courtrooms and jury deliberation rooms and suggested enhancements designed to provide reasonable cost upgrades to the building to improve less than satisfactory as built conditions.
