HELIX has been awarded a contract with the California Army National Guard (CA ARNG) to conduct a natural resources assessment of facilities statewide. Through this effort, HELIX will conduct research and field surveys to document existing biological conditions and to determine the presence or absence of significant natural resources on 12 CA ARNG readiness center facilities.
Specifically, this work will focus on species and habitats protected by federal and state law, including but not limited to State and Federal Endangered Species Acts, State Fish and Game Code/CCR Title 14 (Natural Resources), and Department of Defense (DoD)/Army policy. Results from these assessments will help the CA ARNG with mission readiness by ensuring facility operations are conducted in accordance with all applicable natural resource laws, regulations, and policies.
Work is expected to commence in the spring of 2015.
