To further its support of low-carbon commuting, HELIX Environmental Planning has designated “Hybrid Vehicle Only” parking at its La Mesa headquarters building.  HELIX has a number of programs in place to support low-carbon commuting, including subsidizing employees’ bus/trolley passes and providing a shower and changing area for employees that bike to work.  The firm’s headquarters are located immediately adjacent to a stop for Metropolitan Transit System Route 1, which links to Hillcrest and the Grossmont Trolley Station.  HELIX’s transit-friendly office facilities tie in well with the firm’s work on local and regional transit projects, including bus rapid transit station design and environmental compliance support for improvements to the San Diego-Los Angeles-San Luis Obispo (LOSSAN) inter-city rail corridor.
