HELIX Environmental Planning (HELIX) prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) for a community health center for QueensCare Family Clinics, a private, non-profit health center with multiple locations throughout the Los Angeles area. The project included the demolition of a vacant church and construction and operation of a 24,800-square-foot, two-story building, and a 74-space paved parking lot in an unincorporated portion of Los Angeles County. Key issues included geology/seismicity/soils, air quality, and noise. The project had an accelerated schedule, which was met, to receive grant monies from U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA).
