PATRICK BRITTON

Northern CA Regional Manager

As the Regional Manager, Pat spearheads HELIX’s growth in Northern California to increase the depth and breadth of services we provide to our clients and teaming partners in that region. Pat oversees our Sacramento and Placer County offices where teams provide California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, biological resource studies, cultural resource management, habitat restoration, landscape architecture, and regulatory permitting services.

Pat’s early interest in biology, nurtured by home experiments and inspired by his parents, laid the foundation for his values: integrity, empathy, resilience, collaboration, and commitment. These principles guide his leadership, emphasizing honesty, understanding, teamwork, and dedication to our clients, our goals, and his team’s development.

Over his career, Pat has regularly advised clients regarding regulatory requirements and environmentally sensitive design of projects, completing environmental compliance documents, permits, and technical reports for a variety of project types throughout California, Nevada, and Utah. Pat has many years of specialized experience with wetland restoration, enhancement, and conservation.

Outside of work, Pat enjoys camping, fishing, and waterfowl hunting with his family. He’s also an active supporter of his children’s sports and extracurricular activities, enjoys gardening, and loves traveling with the love of his life.

Pat holds a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in botany from Humboldt State University. He is a certified Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS), a Certified Ecological Restoration Practitioner (CERP), an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist, and a California Rapid Assessment Method (CRAM) Practitioner.
