Pat Britton recently joined HELIX Environmental Planning’s Placer County office and is responsible for overseeing the firm’s biological resources and environmental compliance programs for the Northern California region. This includes overseeing the biology and regulatory groups and managing mitigation monitoring programs, biological assessments (for both the Federal and California Endangered Species Acts), and resource impact evaluations for California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) environmental compliance documents. Additionally, he manages the preparation and processing of Section 404/10 permit applications (U.S. Army Corps of Engineers), Section 401 water quality certification applications (Regional Water Quality Control Board), permit applications for Coastal Zone Management and McAteer Petris Act compliance (San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission), and Section 1602 Agreements (California Department of Fish & Wildlife).
With over 18 years of professional experience, Mr. Britton has completed biological technical reports as well as environmental compliance documents and permits for a variety of project types throughout California, Nevada, and Utah. He has extensive experience managing complex projects, ensuring that appropriate entitlements are received in a timely manner and within budget, and that projects are constructed consistent with applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Additionally, Mr. Britton has many years of specialized experience with wetland restoration and enhancement.
