HELIX Senior Scientist Larry Sward is teaching a course (in association with the Wetland Training Institute, inc.) entitled “Riparian Plant Identification for Coastal Southern California Rivers and Streams.” This 2-day course, located in Costa Mesa on April 7 and 8, focuses on identification of riparian plants, and is intended to benefit field biologists and wetland delineators working in San Diego, Orange, western Riverside, western San Bernardino and Los Angeles counties. Mr. Sward also teaches classes in arid west jurisdictional delineation methods, wetland plant identification, riparian restoration and vernal pool flora / restoration.
